About The Course
This is practically the introductory stage of the advanced certificate in fashion design programme. It seeks to introduce individuals without fashion design knowledge but are passionate about building a solid foundation in Fashion Design Technology, to the fashion world.
This level focuses on helping individuals acquire practical and technical skills in pattern drafting or pattern making and garment construction techniques.
Courses at this level are tailored to suit beginners looking to start from the scratch until they are practically equipped with the basics in Fashion Design Technology.
In order for students to acquire the requisite knowledge and skills needed to get them ready and to launch them into the fashion industry, it is mandatory for them that after this level, they proceed to Level 2 where they get to explore their creativity in the field of design, illustration, and research into fashion design technology to complete the beginners’ programme.
Students are only awarded a certificate after successful completion of Fashion Design Technology Level 1 & 2.
