FASHION DESIGN TECHNOLOGY (LEVEL 3)
COURSE OVERVIEW

This level is the final stage of the Fashion Design Technology Programme. Students are admitted into this level having successfully completed the levels 1 & 2 of Fashion Design Technology.

Courses at this level are designed to upgrade the level of creativity, technical and design skills of the student, which are acquired from the previous levels for better understanding of fashion design technology.
This level prepares and gets students/creatives ready for the job market. At this level students are taken through both menswear designs and womenswear designs to mold them into fully-fledged designers who are ready to establish themselves and their fashion business brands.

Students get to exhibit their creativity by producing final pieces in garment construction and moulage techniques, research into the real business of fashion and other advance modules in pattern making, Draping, digital illustration and pattern drafting with more enriched knowledge and skills.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
  • SSCE / WASSCE / Fashion Training Certificate and above to Apply.
  • Present a Fashion Portfolio showing your works.
  • Must pass our Entrance Exams. ( Interview/ Practical )
  • Good Sewing Skills with the ability to operate the Industrial Sewing Machine.
  • Knowledge on Womenswear Pattern Cutting and Sewing.
  • Ability to write, understand and communicate with English.
  • Successful completion of level 2 or same level of training externally.
ABOUT DREAMS FASHION PORTFOLIO

Any Creative wishing to pursue any option of our Womenswear Design Technology Course will have to submit a portfolio when applying to the college. The purpose of the portfolio is to show the admissions staff that you have a strong artistic ability, an interest in fashion and the ability to sew garments. These skills will serve as the foundation for your education, so highlight them when preparing your portfolio.

Your Portfolio will be reviewed/ investigated to determine your admission into the College.
Once you apply for the course, you will be be connected to our Portfolio Representative who will fully assist you in the preparation of your Portfolio.

This Course is approved by Council of Higher Education ( CHE- South Africa) and National Vocational Training Institute ( NVTI).
